About Bencha

Bencha is the first comparison platform that enables benchmarking products and brands in the fashion segment based on parameters such as sustainability, style, and your own preferences. Bencha will create a change in people's buying behaviour by changing overconsumption into sustainable consumption. In addition, Bencha will be the platform for whistleblowing focusing on transparency in the fashion industry, which will help consumers and retailers to take actions that impact our future.

Want to be a part of our exciting journey?

Currently we employ machine learning for product recommendations (such as an image search function, among others) and various tagging / classification tasks. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate and evaluate methods that can help us improve our baselines or current ML features. The specific scope of the thesis can be designed according to the interests and experiences of the right student.

Required skills

  • Currently doing a Master's degree in Machine Learning, Applied Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or similar.

  • Machine learning / Deep learning.

  • Good at programming and have experience from using PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.

  • Able to formulate problems and solve them independently.

  • Have strong analytical skills and the ability to acquire, apply, and spread new knowledge it to others.

  • Have strong communication / presentation skills in written and spoken English.
